City of Santa Monica City Services Building

The 50,000 SF addition to the historic Santa Monica City Hall will house the City Building & Safety’s permit center, in addition to City staff offices and ancillary spaces currently housed in multiple lease spaces throughout the city. This building is a 3-story above-grade concrete structure, plus a basement, and will include mechanically operated glazing vents, photovoltaics, gray water treatment, and will collect and treat potable water for use in the building.

The City is pursuing a full Living Building Challenge (LBC) certification which provides the most sustainable design, construction, and operation of this facility.
