The James H. Clark Center for Biomedical Engineering and Science on Stanford University’s Palo Alto campus is a multidisciplinary research facility consisting of three steel framed buildings. A basement and tunnel system connect the three buildings, which also houses a full-scale kitchen and servery with a 200-seat dining area, a 150-seat auditorium, and classrooms. The research space houses more than 450 scientists, technicians, and faculty in biology, biochemical, biophysical, biocomputational, bioengineering, and bio neurology disciplines.

The Clark Center was named 2004 Laboratory of the Year by R&D Magazine.
